How to Edit Work Scheme Jira

Before you can edit a work scheme you must disassociate it from any projects.

Edit workflow

Click ‘Administration’ upper left

Then scroll down to workflows.

If all is good, you should see your workflow as ‘Inactive’. That means you can edit it by clicking ‘Design’.

Note : there is a slide bar that isn’t shown by default. If you click the little arrow it will expand letting you add others states etc.

How to add a swim column

Go to your project and click ‘Manage Rapid Boards’.

Select your project ‘Configure’

Click ‘Columns’ then ‘Add Column’

Then drag over any unmapped statuses to the appropriate columns.

How to add a Scheme to a project

Select ‘Projects’ and then the project you want to associate a scheme for.

Then click ‘Workflows’ ‘Actions’ Select a scheme.

Click Project (select your project) -> Fields (on left hand side) -> Use a different scheme (upper right)

Save it.
Then scroll down to find it and associate it to a project.

How to create your own Rapid Board Filter

Goto your rapid board and click Work -> Configure

The Filter -> View in Issue Navigator

To use the filter go back to configure and move your mouse beside the project. It will turn into a drop down letting you select the filter.

Not the best UI (as it isn’t clear there is something selectable there but if you mouse over the bold project name it will transform).

This last step I found confusing. Wasn’t clear to me how to Save the filter and then apply it against the Rapid board. I clicked around enough until I found one of these x2 screens below:

Also you may not be able to assign a filter to a project if you are not the owner – so be sure to check that.

How to hide projects

If there is a project you don’t want to see in the rapid board drop down, just remove the project rapid board and it should no longer show up.
